With the nationwide implementation of Türkiye's Deposit Management System (DMS) as of 1 July 2026, beverage packaging is set to become an integral part of a more efficient recycling ecosystem. Covering plastic, glass and aluminum beverage containers, the system aims to increase resource recovery, strengthen waste management practices and promote more sustainable consumption habits.
DOA (Deposit Bearing Packaging) represents the consumer-facing digital component of the system. Plastic, glass and aluminum beverage packages carrying the DOA logo can be returned through integrated reverse vending machines. Once the return is completed, the incentive amount is transferred to the consumer's digital wallet, while the packaging is directed back into the recycling stream, supporting a circular economy.
